Sailor's Creek Battlefield, Rice VA
72 hours after the battle at Sailor's Creek the Civil War ended in Appomattox, VA. The Overton-Hillsman house served as a hospital for both the North and the South. Bloodstains on the floors have been preserved and forensically tested by the State of Virginia. For those that died there, they began with mass graves, before burying them were they fell in unmarked graves. Paranormal reports have come from those who have visited, Civil War Reactors, and Park Rangers.

Chesterfield, VA Abandoned Home
Privately owned, setting vacant and hit hard by vandals. There appears to be some type of ritual that has taken place in the home. Reports are varying from sounds of growling, a presence being felt, to possibly someone talking. This home has sat vacant for many years.

Midlothian, VA
This was a return investigation for us due to the families request. They also requested clergy to come in as well. This haunt remains disturbing to the residents that live there. Although several changes have been made, including some family members moving out of the residence. For a long time things seemed to be quit. It now appears that it has gained strength and frightens the family, although it is considered to be non-threatening.

Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond VA
This was a return trip to Hollywood Cemetery with Central Virginia Psychic Development & Paranormal Research. This was on a Saturday during normal operating hours. The goal on this trip was to teach the history of the cemetery and how to read the story of each family's tombstones. Also, to prove successfully that EVP's can be captured during the daylight the same as at night.

Chester, VA (Kendale Acres)
This family had lived in the home for several years with no experiences. The majority of the experiences are coming from a small child in the home afraid to return to their bedroom. This child reports the presence of a man and that of a little girl. Also noted that their are strong psychic abilities in this family to include the Father and the Grandfather. The activity seemed to begin after renovations were completed. The investigation could confirm the presence of a man as well as a little girl.

Chester, VA
This home was built by a family member in the 1930's. Experiences include footsteps, items that move, and doors that open and close. Sometimes things are seen out the corner of their eye. There is a teenager that will not return to his room as he seen a man in full form. A prior family member, once living in the home, reported seeing the same man. Also noted that 4 family members actually died in this home. The man in full form was seen on the investigation!

Chesapeake, VA
This is a haunt of the negative side were the family is living in fear. Experiences include EVP's and video that were captured by the homeowner's cell phone. As well as a child being drug from their bed by something unseen. Numerous other experiences were reported. This case was turned down by another paranormal team as they did not believe it was possible to capture this footage on a cell phone. Our research shows otherwise. The investigation proved a presence of the supernatural. Although not a full blow demonic, it is headed in that direction.

This is a full house of several family members living in fear including their children. Poltergeist activity is being reported. One of the reports is of someone "running" on the stairs, this was experienced during the investigation. Recently, some of the members have moved out of the home, and things have begun to settle down.

Perry Street, Petersburg, VA
This was an abandoned home currently on the market by real estate agent Kimberly Calos of Prince George, VA. The hope was to be able to prove that the location was haunted to boost the sales interest. Coverage included Richmond VA's NBC Channel 12, and WRIC Channel 8. Richmond, VA (The Fan District)
This involved a family of 3 that were living in fear. A lot of the fear seemed to be based around something around their toddler. This is located in a historical district and their experiences were numerous. The investigation proved something of the supernatural and not a human spirit. The family has since moved from the location.

A lot of great activity reported in this location. From disembodied voices, items moving in front of them, items that appear out of nowhere, temperature drops and a presence being felt. Experiences have been had by all investigators of CVAPI in this location. Great EVP's and video have come from this location.

Byrd Theatre, Richmond, VA
Many great haunting reports have come from the Byrd Theatre. Most of them involving a prior manager of the Byrd. An employees reports the presence of a little girl in one of the bathrooms. This was confirmed by many through EVP's. As well as a disembodied voice was heard by all in the theatre itself.

Henrico, VA
The family had lived there several years with no experiences. Odd sounds were heard as well as items moved in front of them. You could also re-enter a room and see that something had been moved. EVP's confirmed a recognizable voice by the family of a family member that had passed.

Colonial Heights, VA
This was a return investigation for us. This home sits in a historical district. The family reports that activity has increased and has grown much louder than before. A meeting with the neighbors still confirms a homicide in this location. This haunt has gotten stronger than when we were originally there. We were able to capture video footage of something manifesting in the basement as well as a disembodied voice heard by all came out on audio as well as our hand held camera. The neighbors also report similar experiences, to which we will investigate.

This location backs up to a well known Civil War area. This couple reports seeing things out the corner of their eye, vibrations being felt and the grandchildren being scared of something in the basement. Unique about this case is the home belongs to a deaf couple.

The Cramer Center, Manassas VA
CVAPI got to attend this investigation with Patrick Burns from TruTV's Haunting Evidence and Shannon Sylvia from SciFi's Ghosthunter's International. A great evening was had by all. Many wonderful EVP's were captured. Currently this is a local theatre with living quarters above it and a music shop behind it. Previously it was a church.

This location was recently purchased by the family and experiences began immediately. A tall black shadow of a man was seen by many. Items moved, footsteps were heard. The 8 year old son reported a solider that played with him. The tall black shadow man was seen on the investigation.

Hollywood Cemetery At Night, Richmond VA
Please note that we entered Hollywood Cemetery at night with permission and we were let in the gate! We returned at night to see if any of the folklore of the dead walking the cemetery. Unfortunately, we were not able to prove this to be true. Even though we have captured many great EVP's out of Hollywood.

This was a haunt of the negative side were a family of 3 lived in fear. They were spending their time staying with friends and living in hotels. The experiences they had were extensive. The footage captured on the investigation was disturbing. The case concluded by involving a well known demonologist and clergy. The family has since moved from the location. Today, the house remains vacant.

This family lived there for several years with only an occasional experience. Footsteps were heard and items moved in front of them. The family dog seemed to notice something as well as an infant child. Although we could confirm that it was haunted, it appeared to be non-threatening.

Even though this family had lived there for well over 15 years, occurrences began that they could not explain. They had a frightened teenager that would not return to their room. Noises, electronics, and black shadows were seen. The family animals were visibly affected. The family wondered if it was a relative that had recently passed or if it was something of a negative nature. They had tried conducting a séance that seemed to amplify things. There is a strong family history of psychic abilities, now associated with the teenager who lives there.

This is a home of a young couple who were having several experiences such as odd noises, items disappearing and reappearing, voices being heard, and something seen out of the corner of their eye. As well as it appeared that the family dogs were being affected. The family thought it may be a family presence surrounding them.

This was a haunt of the negative side were a family of 3 were living in fear. This case was rejected by another local paranormal team as the owner did not pass their "Psychological Evaluation" leaving them in fear. It is a shame that they did not listen as it was an amazing investigation. In addition, there is a female residence spirit. The source of the problem was attached to an antique bed. This was removed from the home and the family now lives in peace with the female presence.

CVAPI assisted a local team in that area on this investigation. Video and EVP's were captured in this location. The family experiences include odd noises, rapid temperature drops, and unexplained shadows. It is thought to be the presence of a relative that recently passed.

This is a family who have never had a paranormal experience until moving into this location. Electronics come on and off. Items disappear and reappear. A woman was seen in full form by family members. We were told by neighbors, that there was indeed, a homicide of a woman in this home.

We took our Meetup group Central VA Psychic Development & Paranormal Research for an overnight stay at Ferry Plantation located in Virginia Beach, VA. It is reported to have 14 rooms and 11 ghosts. Local Bar & Grill, Chesterfield VA
This bar and grill is located in Chesterfield, VA and has been around many years. There are reports of a man in full form appearing as a solider seen by the bar owner as well as employees. Past and present employees have all had a paranormal experience of some sorts. The owner reports the presence as none threatening and a "prankster". Investigation validated the male presence as well as a female and a little boy.

Wrexham Hall, Chesterfield VA
This is a popular wedding hall located in Chesterfield, VA. We have investigated this location more than once. "The Lady in Red" has been spotted by more than a few. EVP's were captured upstairs in the bridal suite. It is believed to have a male presence there as well. Items disappear and reappear. On more than one occasion the woman's voice has been heard.

Investigation with VASPER out of Richmond, Virginia. Home of our country's first Thanksgiving. A Class A EVP, was captured in the basement and on our site. This is referenced in Beth Brown's book "Haunted Plantations of Virginia".
